Gundersen Health System is seeking a motivated Physician Recruiter to join our team!

This is a full-time, salaried position

Position can be primarily remote for candidates residing in Wisconsin, Minnesota or Iowa.

Recruiters build relationships with candidates, conduct interviews and assist with the hiring process for physicians throughout Gundersen Health System

This position requires individuals to be self-motivated, confident in communication skills, professional and driven for results

Experience in a medical facility, sales and / or recruitment is beneficial

The Physician Recruiter, under the direction of the Physician Recruitment Manager, is responsible for the successful recruitment of medical staff to Gundersen Health System. This includes but is not limited to: sourcing, screening and coordinating of interviews, checking references, negotiating employment offers, providing immigration assistance, relocation, orientation, and retention activities. This position also requires a comfort level working with all levels of organizational leadership, e.g. medical vice presidents, department chairs, medical directors, and managers involved in the process. Relationship building with the candidate, their family or significant other, internal customers or community leaders is required.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Function as a medical and associate staff recruiter based on organizational needs and manager direction. Performs sourcing and screening activities in compliance with affirmative action guidelines to include: researching and using appropriate social media, database, on line tools, mail and medical journal strategies, campus visits and more. Schedule and coordinate events locally within the WI, MN, and IA region. Work directly with Gundersen Health System medical and associate staff to leverage additional relationships and seek referrals.

2. Screens and counsels candidates to determine appropriateness for open positions; provides benefit and practice information while consulting with department and medical leadership.

3. Screens physician candidates and spouse/family to determine appropriateness for open positions; interviews physician candidates, provides benefit and practice information while consulting with leadership.

4. Oversees arrangements for physician site visit, offering direction to Physician Recruitment Assistant as needed.

5. Assists in negotiating employment offers with candidates, including providing salary information, benefits, and other incentives.

6. Facilitates immigration/visa process as needed.

7. Assists in physician recruitment planning process to develop and maintain an on-going physician recruitment plan.

8. Conducts presentations on recruitment, retention, interviewing, and other physician employment related issues as requested.

9. Travel throughout the U.S. for periods of time to accomplish physician recruitment (20%).

10. Able to handle a full scope role which includes the creation of interview agendas, travel coordination, job offer packages, and pre-employment activities

11. Works closely with team members of Physician Support Services during the transition from candidate through the credentialing process.

12. Assists the Manager in the recruitment planning process to develop and maintain an ongoing medical staff sourcing and marketing plan.

13. Travel to GHS regional locations and regional or national events on a regular basis.

14. Collaborate with Medical Vice Presidents, Department Chairs and Administrative Directors to develop plans and define measurable strategies for success

15. Performs other duties as directed by the manager of physician recruitment



Requirements

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Work Experience:

REQUIRED

5-7 years of professional sales, marketing, customer service or related experience. A working knowledge of employment law with an aptitude for project management and public speaking required.

DESIRED

1 year of experience pertaining to recruitment and employment of physicians, licensure, credentialing and immigration law.

License and Certifications:

REQUIRED

Valid Driver's License (DL)
